Bago Amarelo Albarino

£12.55

This Albariño is from one of Spain’s newest D.O.´s, Rías Baixas, founded in 1988. Translated, it means “lower fjords”. The area has many rivers and bays, and its lush, green surrounding has the ideal climate and growing conditions for this noble white grape.

Vivid straw-yellow in colour with intense aromas of mango, orange and ripe apple. Balanced and fresh, with a rich tropical character. Delicious served alongside barbecued king prawns or seafood paella.

Description

Small and lively bubbles burst onto the tongue.  A smooth mousse and subtle wild apples and pear fruits exude from the palate with a refreshing lift on the finish.  Fit for a celebration, though ideal for a toast on any occasion.

This is ideal as an aperitif or marvellous with shellfish or sushi.
