Dark red wine with a nose of mulberries, red currant blackberry, cinnamon and with a hint of white pepper and aniseed. An aromatic spicy blend with supple, soft tannins. Enjoy now or keep for 4/5 years.
The name Red Mercury refers to a major Roman god, Mercury. He is the patron god of financial gain, commerce, travellers, eloquence, luck and trickery. This stamp was printed in 1856 and is the rarest Austrian newspaper postage stamp. A few copies have a rare stamp value of $40 000.
The wines were racked 3 times over a 12 month period. Sulphur levels were kept to a minimum.
25 % barrel aged for 12 months in French Oak barrels
